Incorporating Our Calligraphies into Children’s History of Writing Class

Córdoba, Argentina — Tamara Isa is a Love Peace Harmony Foundation volunteer who serves her local community with the Love Peace Harmony Field™ through her integrative wellness center, called Sati-Yoga Sonido (Sati-Yoga Sound).

Recently, with the support of two friends, Tamara led a special outreach for the children of a school called La Casita in Las Rabonas, a nearby town. There, the 3rd and 4th grade teachers as well as another staff member gathered a group of eighteen children.

The children are studying the history of writing, and the Calligraphies of Love Peace and Harmony were introduced from this perspective. During this time the Calligraphies and song of Love Peace and Harmony came to accompany the children in this process of discovery. Through the relaxing Calligraphy movement, the children learned the pathways of how they are written in one stroke, from beginning to end. They also came up with their own new ways of following the pathways of the Calligraphies, including some unique and innovative ways using martial arts movements and involving their feet. The children are very creative. An enriching experience was had by all.

To accompany the theme of their studies, Tamara also brought inks and dyes made from natural materials, (such as beets, carrots, coffee, and teas) so that the children could experiment in their books with the shapes of cursive letters.

Throughout the session, the children were receptive, curious and creative when they learning about Love Peace and Harmony.

Tamara maintains contact with the teachers, who are interested in exploring the possibility of utilizing Love Peace and Harmony as a tool in the classroom, as many other teachers have done around the world, with beneficial results.

We are looking forward to the possibility of continued collaboration, and to hearing more stories of these children’s experiences with the Love Peace Harmony Field™.
